This might be one of the prettiest beers I’ve photographed thus far.
The moment it hits the table, the deep ruby-purple colour demands attention. It looks like someone squeezed an entire blueberry patch into a mug, and honestly, I spent almost as much time photographing it as I did drinking it.
Fortunately, it tastes every bit as good as it looks.
The aroma is packed with fresh blueberries. Not blueberry candy. Not blueberry syrup. Honest-to-goodness fresh blueberries.
The first sip was what surprised me most. I expected something that would make my face pucker. Instead, the sourness is remarkably restrained. It’s there, but it knows its role. Rather than overwhelming your palate, it lets the blueberry remain front and centre, creating a beer that’s crisp, refreshing and incredibly easy to drink.
