At first glance, Mango Fetch pours like liquid sunshine. A hazy golden-yellow body topped with a thick, pillowy white head makes for a damn good first impression.
The aroma hints at mango without overpowering your senses, and thankfully the flavour follows suit. Having just come from Odd Company, the comparison was unavoidable. Bent Stick takes a more restrained approach, and I think it pays off. The mango complements the beer instead of trying to steal the show. It adds just enough tropical sweetness to soften the hops while allowing the hazy pale ale to remain the focus.
The result is smooth, juicy and incredibly well balanced. It’s refreshing enough for a hot patio afternoon, but still has enough body to remind you you’re drinking a craft beer instead of alcoholic juice.
